Hydrographic Surveys of Intake Structures, Berths and Dredging Consultation
Location: Salem, Burlington and Mercer Generating Stations • Delaware River and Bay
S. T. Hudson Engineers performs annual pre- and post-dredge hydrographic surveys, with dredge quantity calculations for P.S.E. & G.'s Burlington Generating Station and Mercer Generating Station, both of which are located along the Delaware River. Hudson performs semi-annual bathymetric surveys at the Salem and Hope Creek Generating Stations, located in the Delaware Bay. Hydrographic surveys, cross-sections, side scan sonar imaging, intake profile charts, siltation/volume calculations and the security buoy installation/maintenance program are some of the services which Hudson provides to the nuclear facility.

These are Class I surveys, using Differential Global Positioning Systems, DGPS.
Other consulting services have included writing specifications, monitoring payment quantities, and collecting data for permit applications.
Rock Removal from Berth 3C Area
Location: Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania
S. T. Hudson Engineers performed side scan and scanning sonar imagery of the Berth 3C area and found several rock pinnacles to be removed. Hudson provided positioning, monitoring of removal process and post removal clearance surveys. Commerce provided all of the floating equipment and personnel to drill, break, and remove the rock, then barge the material away for disposal.
