Buckeye - Terminal Expansion
Location: Freeport, Grand Bahama
Hudson Construction Consultants and its affiliate S. T. Hudson Engineers, Inc. (Hudson companies) have been selected by Buckeye Partners, L.P. to perform detailed engineering services in association with the expansion of Buckeye’s terminal in Freeport, Grand Bahamas Island. Hudson completed conceptual engineering services for this terminal expansion and continues to execute project and construction management services for two other marine projects at the facility. Hudson’s reputation for excellence in marine facilities engineering, terminal expansion and construction management experience opened the door to this opportunity.

Buckeye’s Freeport storage terminal is a premier international logistics hub. It is the fourth largest marine terminal in the world and the largest facility of its kind in the Caribbean. Currently, Buckeye’s terminal has 21.6 million barrels of existing storage capacity with additional projects identified to significantly increase its storage capacity further.
Hudson is known for developing innovative and cost effective, value engineered designs for new construction as well as rehabilitation of all types of port and marine terminal facilities. The award of these expansion projects represents an important step in showcasing Hudson’s lesser known capabilities.
