Project Overview

S. T. Hudson Engineers, Inc. was selected by Buckeye Partners, L.P. to design new piping systems that would allow a change in service for existing tanks at their Port Reading, NJ facility. This project was part of a larger effort by Buckeye to convert an old refinery they purchased into a finished product terminal. We were tasked to design the necessary manifold connections, piping, tie-ins, and other required components to safely store and transport the products Buckeye desired to export from this facility.

Project Results

As a result of S. T. Hudson’s design efforts, Buckeye was able to repurpose tanks that were designed to store unrefined products to tanks that could store finished products. Now, they are able to export these finished products through the pipelines within the facility back out to their customers.
